WG10 Networking meeting

 

 

The ESENIAS-TOOLS Workshop on Effective Networking Two Way: Local to Global and Global to Local (WG10 Networking and dissemination of project results) will be held on 9–11 December 2015, in Istanbul, Turkey.

 

The workshop is organised by the Duzce University, Institute of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Research, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, and the East and South European Network for Invasive Alien Species (ESENIAS) and supported by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2009-2014, BG03 Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services.

 

The workshop has the following objectives:

- Share information on ESENIAS and ESENIAS-TOOLS project;

- Discuss the importance of networking and role of regional networks on awareness raising, data collection, management and distribution, and implementation and research activities on IAS;

- Share information and experience on early warning activities;

- Look for role of ESENIAS in the new EU IAS regulation, either as EU member countries or as non EU countries;

- Seek further opportunities for cooperation and networking on IAS in the region and collaboration with other regional, pan-regional and global networks and projects.
