3rd Croatian Symposium on Invasive Species

 

 

 

The 3rd Croatian Symposium on Invasive Species will be held from 26 to 27 November 2018, in Zagreb, Croatia.

 

The Symposium will be organised by the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, the Croatian Forest Research Institute and the Public Institution Maksimir, under the patronage of the Major of Zagreb Mr. Milan Bandić.

 

This Symposium has been held every two years, with international participation. The main idea is to gather experts dealing with as many different aspects of invasive species as possible.

This year, the following keynote speakers are invited:

 

Dr. Sven Bacher (University of Fribourg, CH)
Title: Comparing impacts of alien species: why and how?

 

Dr. Helen Roy (Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, UK)
Title: Unravelling the ecology of non-native species to inform Strategy

 

Dr. Rene Eschen (CABI, CH)
Title: Ecological and socio-economic impacts of alien invasive woody plants in Eastern Africa

Abstract submission (extended deadline)         26 September 2018

Decision on acceptance                                   21 October 2018
